As he gears up to take over London’s O2 Arena with global music icon Davido on March 5, fast-rising Nigerian afrobeats artist and songwriter PERUZZI has released his first single of 2022 by way of the infectious dancehall-tinged offering titled ‘READY’ featuring up-and-coming Nigerian rap artist AcebergTM, as featured by Notion Magazine.

The single will serve as the precursor to his upcoming fourth studio project that is set for release later this year, following the success of 2021’s Rum & Boogie album that birthed such hits as ‘Southy Love’ with Fireboy DML, and ‘Somebody Baby’ with Davido.

Written and composed by Peruzzi, and co-produced by the rising star and burgeoning Nigerian producer Yung Willis (Ycee, Falz, BNXN), the dancehall-afrobeats fusion track is led by Peruzzi’s thrilling melodies, witty lyrics and effortless vocal display, and supported by a catchy rap verse from AcebergTM, over the infectious musical backdrop characterized by its thumping bassline and synth-heavy EDM sensibilities. The outcome is a summertime-ready future hit that sees Peruzzi waxing lyrical about desire, commitment, and dedication in relationships.

Revered for his soulfully expressive vocals, passionate creativity, enthralling performance prowess, Peruzzi burst onto the scene in 2017 with ‘For Your Pocket’, which led him to landing a record deal with Davido under his DMW imprint.

Peruzzi has gone on to release three critically acclaimed projects since then, birthing hit songs such as ‘Majesty’, ‘Dina’ featuring Popcaan, and ‘Champion Lover’ with Burna Boy, while also penning songs for others, including Davido’s award-winning track ‘FIA’ and ‘Amaka’ for Nigerian music legend 2Baba, to mention a few.

Peruzzi is set to join Davido for his third O2 Arena headline concert on March 5, and is gearing up to release his fourth studio project later this year, led by new singe ‘Ready’
