Coming on the back of its lead single and title track which was released to rave reviews from the likes of Clash Music, The Line Of Best Fit, SoulBounce, SingersRoom and Unsigned Music Awards, British Nigerian singer, songwriter and musician Nia Ekanem is proud to debut his long awaited debut EP titled It’s Your Love, premiered via Impose Magazine.

Written and produced by Nia Ekanem, with help from FreddyIcePik, Bob Cheels, Shade Joseph, Michael Tronson and IAmFuma, the 6-track It’s Your Love EP is the perfect depiction of Ekanem’s remarkable fusion of raspy soul, electrifying acoustic sensibilities, enchanting vocals and compelling storytelling, which has been championed by BBC 1Xtra, The Beat London and BBC Introducing.

From the enchanting opening track ‘Travellers’, about taking that first step in life and love, and not looking back, and the beautifully crafted love song ‘It’s Your Love’, to the rather poignant and hopeful ‘Changes’, which is an ode to his late father, and the infectious life-affirming ‘Baby Girl’, Nia Ekanem has delivered a truly remarkable debut project that is sure to stand the test of time.

Speaking about the inspiration behind his It’s Your Love EP, Nia Ekanem explains, “I’m inspired by life and the different journeys I go through. With this EP I really wanted my listeners to come into my world and feel my emotions. The EP touches on different topics such as, love, changes, happiness, insecurity, freedom, safe haven and more”.

The Birmingham-raised musician adds that, “the inspiration for the EP is all based on my life and the people around me, the different stages I’ve been through in life, and still go through, as well as conversations I have with my loved ones. The beauty of life and how nothing is certain, but it’s important that we keep going no matter what, and find the beauty for ourselves”.
