Nigerian African icon and music executive Olamide returns today with a brand new single ‘Trumpet’, as featured in Iggy Magazine, with CKay. The record opens to the sound of ocean waves with CKay and Olamide trading soothing vocals over a mid-tempo beat. Accompanied by a music video with colorful scenes to match the energy of the song, the two sing innuendos to a love interest – watch here.
Olamide is the head of YBNL Nation, which he’s grown into one of Nigeria’s most influential and respected record labels since founding the imprint more than a decade ago, launching the careers of artists such as Asake, Fireboy DML, Adekunle Gold, and many more.
Olamide shared his debut in 2010 and has since dropped more than half a dozen projects including the more recent 2021’s UY Scuti which amassed 220 million streams and 2020’s widely successful Carpe Diem – featuring singles like “Infinity” and “Loading” which gained popularity.
