Serving as one of the focus tracks for the new EMPIRE compilation album Where We Come From (Vol. 1), ‘Cough (Odo)’ sees Kizz Daniel in his afropop element as he joins forces with producers Philkeyz and Blaisebeatz (Chris Brown, Wizkid) to deliver what has become one of the biggest afrobeats songs of the year, despite only being out for two months. Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Kizz Daniel says, “For this song I wanted to highlight the feeling of new love.
