Following the recent release of her comeback single ‘Alright’, which is currently being supported by Flux FM Berlin, Soul Addict, Guestlist Magazine and Chant Magazine among others, and is taken from her forthcoming debut album, London-based Alternative Soul singer-songwriter Kadija Kamara is proud to debut the exciting new music video for ‘Alright’, as premiered via SoulBounce.
Directed by Christian Brown (The Libertines, James Blunt, The Vaccines), the visuals for ‘Alright’ were shot on the Isle of Wight, and in London’s Regent Studios, owned by renowned art director Anna Sbiera. The video sees Kadija Kamara in reflective mood, as it captures the essence and message behind the ‘Alright’ record, and amplifies her trademark retro soul and modern pop fusion sound.
Speaking about the inspiration for the video, Kadija Kamara says, “the idea for the ‘Alright’ video is based around reflection, with the concept of not knowing where you’re going until you know where you’ve come from, playing a really key role. No matter the circumstances, sometimes you have to look at your reflection in the mirror and say to yourself, ‘it’s alright… alright… alright now’”.
