Following on the back of his summer underground smash ‘For Me’ featuring Sona and DJ Sean, which was championed by the likes of Complex UK, GRM Daily, Rinse FM, Radar Radio, Reprezent Radio and The Beat London, among others, fast-rising UK Afrobeats sensation RaysMuzik is back to close out the year, with his brand new single titled ‘8EEN’, and its accompanying music video, premiered via The FADER.

Produced by JoshuaBeatzz, who worked with J Hus on his breakout track ‘Dem Boy Paigon’ and frequently collaborates with Belly Squad, ‘8EEN’ is a lush piano-driven bass-heavy R&B, Reggae and Pop fusion offering, sprinkled with infectious Afrobeats-leaning sensibilities, and held together by RaysMuzik’s captivating flow and glorious vocals – making for what is sure to be a big hit among fans, critics, and purveyors of this ever-growing UK ‘AfroWave’ scene.

For the accompanying visuals for ‘8EEN’, RaysMuzik collaborates, once again, with video director and filmmaker Visionnaire Pictures (Big Narstie, Paigey Cakey, Bridget Kelly), to add a vibrant and sexy visual element to the already catchy record, which sees RaysMuzik waxing lyrical about, and heaping praises on his leading lady, in his own unique and irresistible swagger.

Speaking about his new ‘8EEN’ single, RaysMuzik says, “This record is about that special woman I wish for in my life – that one special person who has ‘never let me down’. I appreciate how rare long-term relationships can be these days, and this is just my ode to staying together, through thick and thin. Working with JoshuaBeatzz was special; we pushed each other to deliver a new and fresh sound, fusing R&B, Reggae and Pop, and complimenting it with my Afrobeats background”.
